Upon his release from prison, Gio reunites with his Toni. The two petty thieves want to turn their lives around: she proposes one last heist, while he dreams of making a movie. As Gio recounts the screenplay for *Amanti a mano armata* (Armed Lovers)—which he wrote while incarcerated—reality blurs with fiction.
